Brellian knew all about the concert being planned at Nenseru Woods. In fact, he was well aware of the tall, blonde-haired wisp of a thing that by all accounts was brilliant. Brilliant in music, brilliant in performing, brilliant in caring, brilliant in being politically aware, brilliant in school, and a brilliantly formidable foe – at least for most people.
Brellian was acutely self-confident, but he did not spend his time assuaging his ego, he had to deal with reality. And reality led him to the conclusion he needed to follow this one closely. Not only was there a significant social movement blossoming, that movement was working to find a leader, and the addition of young T’yaeli to this cause could create a perfect storm of uncontrollable events.
Yet to act before or during the concert would be unwise, it would not serve his cause – defence of and perpetuation of the current realm.
Better to have undercover agency staff in the crowd, become part of the movement, and report back on their activities and plans. If things moved to the point where action was needed, he could quickly redirect and come down hard.
For now, his priority was infiltration; let this presumptuous diva meld with this subversive crowd. In the end, their efforts would both be broken and crushed.
